Can the friendship between a guy and gal last long?

May be till he or she gets their own Life Partners, which might sometimes be that good pal and henceforth maintaining the everlasting friendship.

If that happens then either the guy or the gal or maybe both will face serious problems with their life partners. And thinking about this if I get close to a girl, close to the extent that I keep on missing her every moment, then I feel that I am in Love with her, coz the fear of separation comes into picture and then I end up not to loose her.

But when a guy goes and proposes to that special person, whom he keep on missing every moment, saying am all yours, she gets angry and promises to be a very good lifelong friend and friend only. By what I believe I feel she can’t keep up her word or if she does so she might come back to that guy. Haven’t seen any reverse case, so no comments on that.

This is the reason that I scare to get close to a girl and sometimes it happens that my feelings overcome my avoidance and I finally fall in for her. Still I control and control but cant help that out. There is this saying “As you resist it persists”. That’s true.
